Description: Decorative objects found in Florida which match those my family had in Cuba. Their pattern is covered with real flowers. I intervene in the floral pattern's surfaces by identically recreating the flower design on the surface with real flowers. From a distance, this is an almost invisible intervention for a hurried spectator. The work requires close inspection. The work examines dichotomies: what is the real and what is the fake, the natural flower vs. the representation of the flower, the authentic plate from my family's versus the one found in a thrift store. Everything is fake, everything is real. I keep the chronological order in which I found the objects in the museography.
